3. Character Information II
Age/Appearance: Ocelot is in her sixties. She takes care of herself, and makes sure she always is looking her best. In her mind, torturing an enemy soldier is so much more thrilling when it’s by a beautiful woman. She wears her hair cropped short and is never seen without her single action army. Ocelot carries herself with a lot of strength and grace— as well as a sharpness that indicates that she is a soldier who is still one foot in the battlefield. For the most part this keeps away people who think they can best her.
History: http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Revolver_Ocelot

Her history deviates from the original source are as follows:

Ocelot was EVA, and the woman who would become known as Big Mama was ADAM. They were the apparent NSA codebreakers who defected, though this was more than likely false information as it is mentioned that the codebreakers were both men.

She and her partner sleeper agent, ADAM, arrived in Russia around the same time, though the two had very little contact with each other. Eventually, as part of the agreement for Snake’s mission, she revealed herself to be EVA and was responsible for juggling both her GRU duties and providing Snake with information while ADAM stayed on the inside except in rare cases where EVA needed help, such as breaking Naked Snake out of jail. ADAM kept her side of the agreement and left for China shortly after the mission ended, and the two women didn’t see each other for years.

Years later, after ADAM discovered with a large amount of horror that she was barren, Ocelot offered to be the surrogate mother of the clones. This gives her a certain amount of motherly affection towards the clones, though it isn’t something that interferes with her work, or that she even lets on about. She’s had to kill fellow Russians before, and though she doesn’t feel good about it, it’s simply something that needs to be done.

Personality: Though Ocelot’s personality has changed slightly from her canon counterpart, she is still very much a sadistic person. She revels in gunfights and the thrill of a shootout, and her abilities with a revolver are almost unmatched. Dangerous, and somewhat unstable, Ocelot is a formidable opponent and has a penchant for torture, especially with electricity. Though she is rather violent, she is also very shrewd. She is a meticulous planner, always thinking several steps ahead and revising her plans as they need be.

As a soldier who has worked several sides, it can appear as though Ocelot doesn’t have any true loyalties, though this is far from the truth. She admires Big Boss, and despises everything the Patriots stand for all the while still on their side so that she can destroy them from the inside. Her true loyalties lie with Big Mama and Big Boss, though they are hidden under so many layers that it would only be possible to tell if she admitted it. She’s willing to betray people who consider her an ally to further her own goals; except for those she values the most.

She values the way she looks, and takes great care to “dress up”, especially if she is about to conduct a torture session. Though she uses her looks as a means of fear, she doesn’t play up any stereotype unless it’s part of a covert assignment, and even then she is sharp and rather cruel, and never shows any sign of being someone besides a person best left to her own devices.

Though Ocelot feels that the Snakes are her sons, she is still willing to sacrifice them to her cause. She doesn’t let on as to how this makes her feel, though the truth is that is a mixed sort of feeling. As when she had to kill fellow Russians for the GRU, it does hurt a little to know that her sons are disposable, but it is for a more worthy cause— freeing Big Boss from his coma.
Sexual Preferences/Orientation: Ocelot is more certainly not monogamous. Settling down is simply not an option in her line of work, and it doesn’t fit with her personality, either. Though she prefers women, she has a large place in her heart for Big Boss that goes beyond simple admiration for him, though her sexual encounters with him are limited to a single instance.

Ocelot also cares deeply for her partner, ADAM. It’s the closest she comes to being capable of romantic love. Sex is not a priority for her. If one is having sex, there’s an opportunity for it to be used against them. There’s also the opportunity to be caught in a situation where she can’t easily react. Therefore, she avoids it completely unless it is with ADAM.
Powers: n/a
Reason for playing: Ocelot is a character I’ve played before off and on over the years. He fascinates me, but this is my first time attempting to play a genderswap version in a panfandom setting. Though dressing rooms are nice, they take away the setting-specific growing of a character, and I want to explore that. I am also planning on exploring the personality differences between this female Ocelot and her canon male counterpart.

As well, the changes I made for the AU should change how Ocelot interacts with the world slightly, and it will be interesting to play out the effect the city has on her. With such a complex web of lies and lives intertwining, it would be interesting to see if Ocelot can possibly keep something like that going without her driving force anywhere to be found.

5. Samples
First-Person: I don’t suppose anyone could tell me where am I? This is a fascinating city, but I happen to be a bit busy. I’ll be back for playtime in a bit, so longs as I return to where I was before. It’ll be less than 24 hours and then I shall be able to return.

Hmm.

Perhaps that’s not possible. The name of this city will do, then.
Third-Person: This, quite plainly, was not Alaska. It wasn’t the nuclear facility, either. How inconvenient. Ocelot drummed her hand against a wall, impatient and rather frustrated. This was nothing but a mild inconvenience. She’d return to Alaska sooner rather than later, or otherwise plans that weren’t meant to fall apart would start to show at the seams.

She twirled her gun in one hand, staring into the darkness. People were beginning to surround her, curious, and with knives drawn. Was this a mugging? How cute. “Six bullets,” she murmured, glancing at her would-be attackers. There were exactly six of them.

“C’mon granny,” one of the muggers said with a laugh. “Give us your money and we promise we won’t hurt you.”

“Is that right?” Ocelot said slowly, aiming her gun at him. One of the man’s buddies whistled. She didn’t hesitate, she fired. The man groaned in pain, collapsing to the ground. The shot wouldn’t be fatal if his friends acted fast, but instead they charged her. Ocelot let out a loud, exaggerated sigh. She missed the combat, but this was boring. No challenge, not like the challenge she would have hoped to have with Solid Snake.

The fight was over before any of the men were able to do anything more than swing their knives at her. They all lay on the ground, bleeding and groaning and most certainly now dying. She stepped over the bodies lazily, wondering where she could get evidence of where she was.
Third-Person #2: It’s a sleepless night. Tomorrow, she will leave. ADAM’s graceful hand moves to cup her face, give her a kiss on the mouth. “Is something bothering you?” she asks gently, hand running against her face. She kissed at Ocelot’s face, nuzzling against her.

“Nothing,” Ocelot lied. She began to kiss at ADAM’s neck, hand running through the other woman’s hair, purring ever-so-slightly.

ADAM frowned, but didn’t push. “You’re going to call him tonight, aren’t you?” she asked. She sighed, not looking at the other woman for a few minutes. Ocelot moved closer, back to combing the other woman’s hair.

“I have to keep him informed,” Ocelot said, shrugging. As an afterthought, she added, “He’s my son, too.” Solidus was the one she thought most fondly of. He was everything she had wanted him to be, and the only of the clones that she had regular contact with. It was a shame what she had to do to her own son, but Liquid wasn’t to know about her parentage. It was war at its finest and that was all there was to it. “Let’s not talk about this now,” she said finally, moving to rest her head on ADAM’s shoulder.

They kissed, arms wrapping tightly around one another.
